Key Dates

Grading Day (first week of the season)
Date: Saturday, 17 October
Location: Victoria Park Aqualife Centre
Time: 1:15pm – 4:00pm
What to expect: Before you’re graded, you’ll spend time hanging with our community, chatting, and playing games. There will be snacks to share and lots of amazing people to meet. Most of your day will be spent outside of the water, chatting with our community.
Schedule:
1:15pm – Arrive and register
1:30pm – Safety session
2:00pm-3:00pm – Kids’ lessons/grading. Families will play games on the lawn with our volunteers while waiting for their kids to be graded.
3:00pm-4:00pm – Women’s only private lessons/grading, and Men’s lessons/grading.
Until 4:00pm – Activity Centre will be open with snacks, games, and care for kids.
Every other week of the season
Dates: Saturdays from 24 October to 12 December
Location: Victoria Park Aqualife Centre
Times: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Schedule:
2pm – arrive and register
2:00-3:15pm – Kids’ lessons/grading. Families will play games on the lawn with our volunteers while waiting for their kids to be graded
3:15-4:00pm – Women’s only private lessons and Men’s lessons
Until 4pm – Activity Centre will be open with snacks, games, and care for kids
Lesson Types
Learn how to swim or improve your swimming skills in an enjoyable and comfortable environment. All classes are completely free.
We offer:
- Men’s classes,
- Kids’ classes (Age 4+), and
- Women’s only classes in a private area.
We also run an Activity Centre with snacks for our community and care for kids while Mum and Dad swim!
Location
Swim for Refugees will be based at Victoria Park Aqualife Centre – 42 Somerset St, East Victoria Park WA 6101.
Victoria Park Aqualife Centre is a great pool. This centre has plenty of public & private lanes, swim equipment and grass for the Activity Centre.
