Swim for Refugees is a program teaching people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds in Perth, Western Australia to swim. What better way to welcome newcomers to our country, and teach vital life skills for living on the Swan River and Indian Ocean?

The project started in 2016 and is run at UniSwim, Crawley in Perth Western Australia. It is entirely run by volunteers. Since our inception Swim for Refugees has taught almost 500 people vital water safety and swimming skills, and engaged over 150 volunteers.
Swim for Refugees runs two seasons a year, March-May and October-December.
For the most up to date information on 2021 seasons, see our Facebook and Instagram page.
